When the current passes through the bearing, the motor, generator and related equipment are in danger. This will not only damage the contact surface of the rolling element and raceway in the bearing (electric corrosion), but also rapidly degrade the grease. Another additional risk comes from the high frequency currents in motors and generators, which can be looped through the parasitic capacitance inherent in the equipment. If frequency converter is used, the risk of damage is increased. Insulated bearing: it is designed to prevent current from passing through the bearing. The outer surface of the inner or outer ring of the bearing is coated with insulating alumina layer. The application of complex plasma spraying process to obtain excellent quality finish is a very cost-effective solution compared with other insulation methods. The standard supply scope of insulated bearings includes the most commonly used sizes and variants of bearings: single row deep groove ball bearings, single row cylindrical roller bearings. Insulated bearing

Electrical corrosion resistance is integrated into the bearing by insulation performance. Insocoat bearing can improve the reliability and increase the normal operation time of the machine by practically eliminating the problem of electric corrosion. The minimum resistance of the high resistance alumina coating is 200m Ω, which can withstand
